About The Event
June is National Indigenous History Month in Canada dedicated to honour the vibrant and diverse histories and cultures of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples. Additionally, June 21 is the National Indigenous Peoples Day.
To mark this important time, we are pleased to invite you to a series of events to celebrate Indigenous scholarship, research, and contributions at AU and beyond. Co-organized by AUGSA and FGS, in collaboration with Wîcihitowin Indigenous Student Alliance (WISA) and Nukskahtowin, this series of events will feature Indigenous Elders, scholars, community members, and students sharing their research, vision and accomplishments through conversations and presentations in the first four Mondays of June.
